The lecture will be followed by an improvisation by poet Claudia La Rocco & musician/composer Phillip Greenlief.

Kiria Koula is excited to host a launch event for a new book by Anthony Huberman, titled "Today We Should Be Thinking About". (published by Koenig Books & The Artist’s Institute at Hunter College, NY).

This book was designed by Scott Ponik, who is currently one of the guests in the bookstore at Kiria Koula, along with Julie Peeters.

Huberman will also give a talk about books, narrators, and words that start with the letter T.

In "Today We Should Be Thinking About," Huberman narrates the first six seasons of The Artist’s Institute in New York with Robert Filliou, Jo Baer, Jimmie Durham, Rosemarie Trockel, Haim Steinbach, and Thomas Bayrle. In the contextof each season, a wide range of other artists, writers, filmmakers, musicians, philosophers, and scientists also come up.

Anthony Huberman is the Director and Chief Curator of the Wattis Institute at CCA and the Founding Director of The Artist’s Institute in New York. He lives in San Francisco. Funnily enough, this will be his first public lecture in San Francisco.
